This the BEST hotel! The view is stunning? The architecture is impressive and we loved the room and the bathroom. It was clean, but so well decorated. It was very quiet and relax, except for the neighboors who were listening to some loud music, but it was not too bad. The surrounding nature took over. They are in construction, so it is to consider. They are supposed to be finished very soon. The food was good, but not excellent. It is the only thing where they can improve maybe. All the rest was perfect! We should have booked one more night.
Beautiful location and amazing rooms. The person at the front desk (who also helped with any questions we had, Tina) was a total angel! We are definitely coming back again.
One of the most magical hotels we've ever been to. The rooms were gorgeous - the view from our deck was unreal and we even had a fire in the wood fireplace in our room every evening! The bathroom was huge with a nice shower with great pressure. The bed was comfy and cozy. The service with Alan was top notch! We look forward to coming back soon!
Stayed here for one night and greatly enjoyed our stay! While the rooms are beautiful and have everything you could possibly need, our favorite part was the restaurant that’s onsite. We had dinner and breakfast here and thought the food was delicious! The service and staff was also 10/10. They were literally the nicest people. Overall highly recommend!
This is definitely the best hotel in San Mateo, Oaxaca (just past San Jose del Pacifico) in the Sierra Madre del Sur mountains. The service was excellent- just felt very relaxing to stay there and feel like there was nothing to worry about. I was impressed by the massage at the spa, which was very professional and included an exfoliating mud bath treatment. I loved the breakfast (pictures are of the fruit bowl, hot cakes, and chilaquiles). We stayed in “La Victoria” room which had an electric fireplace and private terrace. The bed was extremely comfortable with warm blankets. It was just really fun and probably the favorite part of our trip was hanging out here because it was so beautiful and tranquil.
WOW! No words for how magical this place is. My partner and I were totally blown away. Beautiful design, unbeatable view, delicious food/coffee, and the friendliest staff. We felt right at home. Cannot wait to come back!!!
We stayed here for one night, which was a mistake, in early June. The region/town/hotel was absolutely gorgeous and when we come back to Oaxaca we will be staying here for 3 nights minimum. Pros: the mountains are gorgeous the climate is perfect living in the clouds the building design and layout is beautiful the food is amazing the staff is so attentive and accommodating the masseuse is phenomal Cons: there are dogs in the town but they do not come to the hotel so you can pet them. hotel is currently expanding so there is construction happening during the day, but this was the off season!
